sweet summer.

good evening all, well its been another hot one today.started off cloudy and a bit cool but cor was it hot at work.my little man did really well in his sports day.he competed in 4 events and got 2nd place in the sack race and egg and spoon race and 3rd in the flat race, so he got a double mr whippy icecream with 2 flakes at hometime.lol.
so on to tonights card which i have made for this weeks paperplay challenge=week 25="its sunny here".your card had to have the sun or sunglasses so it was a perfect excuse to use one of the new city girls again!!!lol

good evening all.well its been really heavy and muggy at work today and i couldn`t wait to kick of my shoes once i got home.lol.have not watered my garden tonight as it has forecast rain and boy do my plants need it.my little man has his sports day tomorrow.,he did really well last year so will be cheering him on tomorrow.

good evening all, wow what a scorcher of a day.have managed to sit out it the sun a little with my book, halfway through it already.you just gotta love james patterson for his page turning writing.oh and the pages i used for yesterdays card were a book bought from a charity shop, no way would i rip out the pages of my book stash.lol.so on to tonights card and oh talk about little things making me smile but i have found i have a photo editor on my laptop.only taken 2 years.lol.it means i have been able to sharpen my images, hopefully you can tell.so i am entering this into 2 challenges,which are=

good evening all.well another beautiful day and a nice breeze too.i finished work at 2, went pick my little man up from my mum and had a cuppa and a chat.got home and sat in the garden and finished my no6 true blood book and started to read a james patterson one.lol.anyway enough of my day, am sure you want to see a card instead.so i am entering this one into 2 challenges.

good evening all, well i am back again with another card with yet again another whiff of joy.the old mojo is on form today.bit late uploading though cos me and little man went to his schools summer fayre earlier so hes now fast asleep after all the bouncing on the bouncing castle.lol.
so this card i am entering into this weeks creative inspirations=challenge 66=colour theme which is turquoise,gold and cream.
well it just had to be this image cos well it just had to be .lol.

products used are cream pearlized card.papers are from the dcwv taj mahal stack.papermania gems.little hanging charm is from my craft shop and i`ve just cut a little piece off so its hangs like a little charm.whiff of joy image from the april stamp kit as is the sentiment coloured with promarkers.

like a kid in a sweetshop.

hello all.well have a had a little play and here are the 1st of my cards using my new stamps.oh i can tell you, i didn`t know which to use first.am like a kid in a sweet shop.so with out further ado here they are.

card 1 is using one of the new city girls which have been released today.products used are dcwv latte papers.marianne swirl.prima eline flowers.papermania brads.sentiment from the whiff of joy summer kit.whiff of joy willow with coffee coloured with promarkers.chalk.

so i tryed to give willow a bit of a tan so colours used are
skin=almond,putty,blush,tan,caramel.
hair=blush,vanilla,sandstone,caramel.
shoes,dress,bag=cocoa,chestnut,walnut,shale.

the sentiment.

oh and i have taken my pics outside for a change as i was getting really bad shadows inside.lol

so onto card 2.i have used the new summer stamp kit for this one

products used are sand colured card.dcwv citrus papers.blue and white raffia.tim holtz distress tool.distress ink dried marigold.chalk.buttons from stash.image and sentiment from the summer kit.image coloured with promarkers and again i have tried to give him a tan but he looks a bit dirty, oops.

good evening all.another glorious day and england also got through to the final 16.managed to listen to some of the match on the radio at work.so on to tonights card, not made for any reason other than i fancied using these papers and yet again a whiff of joy image.hopefully my new woj stamps will be here soon.

the flower was made with the tim holtz die using 2 large,1 medium and 1 small flower.i used old jeans and brown cords from my wardrobe clearout.i wanted the bigger flowers to be more rigid though as the material was too floppy :) so i coated them in ditress paint in rock candy and dried them with my heat gun which also happened to curl the petals which i think gives it a nice effect.

good evening.well what a gorgeous day it has been today, the sun has shone all day.i have managed to weed my garden.hubby cut the grass and then whilst i weeded he ironed and did tea.then we all had a water bomb fight outside so my tidy garden is now covered in little pieces of coloured rubber.lol.so on to tonights card which i am entering into the creative card crew challenge = challenge 52 = thankyou.

oh what fun.!!

good evening all.well no card to share tonight as i have had a little play with my sizzix dies instead as well as distress inks and oh what fun i have had.so here are a few piccys of what i`ve made and i will also tell you what die and inks i have used, oh and a warning that if you are of a nervous disposition then it may be wise to skip the very last photo.lol

so for these little roses which are about 1cm in diameter i have used the sizzix die 656545 flowers,3d.there is 2 sizes of roses to make and these are the smallest.i used some scrap cream paper and inked my heat proof mat with wild honey and rusty hinge distress ink and spritzed with water.used my hands to mix the 2 colours and dryed the diecuts with my heat gun.then used a little quilling tool and voila.quite sweet aren`t they.

so this is the same sizzix die but these are the bigger roses.these are about 2-3 cms wide and it all depends how tight you roll them as to how big they will be.for these i have used the same technique but using aged mahogany and victorian velvet inks and silver shimmer mist.the paler one was dabbed on another area of the mat hence the colour difference.



oooo and this is my fav.this one is using the tim holtz sizzix tattered florals 656640.
i cut out 2 large,2 medium and 1 small flower using old book pages and used my ink pads in dried marigold and mustard seed direct on the paper then spritzed the flowers with water, scrunched them up and dried with my heat gun and then layered them up with a gem centre.will be trying to make a selection of colours of this one.

and this one, well what can i say,!!!!! NOTE TO SELF, WEAR RUBBER GLOVES.
oh my word i will be trying forever to get this off.will have to use my scrubber sponge and shampoo i think.lol
also managed to get to a dunhelm store today and got 3 dcwv paper stacks hafl price.i got the taj mahal one ready for my whiff of joy stamps, also got the citrus stack and the latte one.wasn`t much left though and am kicking myself now for not buying the other 3 designs but i had to reign myself in a little.
well i hope you like my flowers.will hopefully be making a card tomorrow to use them on.
