i`m not going out, our family have never really celebrated new years eve for a long time.my hubby is at work tonight too and the strongest thing i`ll be drinking is my cuppa tea.lol.those of you who are going out tonight, have fun and stay safe.

my fav 5 of 2010.

Good morning all.its time to join in the fun with debby again and choose your top 5 for 2010.

Debby very kindly has more candy up for grabs too, thanks debby.

It was really hard to narrow this down to just 5 and also a lot of fun to go back through the year and see how much your style and tastes change.

So here are my top 5. 

1.i loved this papermania build a butterfly stamp set and couldn`t stop using it, sadly it seems to have gone to the bottom of the stamp drawer now.think it may be time to dig it out again.

2.this is one i made using my distress inks which also have been neglected lately.i love the fab inkadinkado stamps used on this one.

3.this one is using a stamp from my fav stamp company-whiff of joy and this is from the 1001 nights kit.i begged sue at crafty urchins to get me this kit in from katharina and i love it.another well used kit :D

4.i love the deep purple colours on this one and i really enjoyed making the flowers with voile and lace.

5.and finally a really recent one.i love these new stamps i got from my hubby for christmas.they are great to colour.also using my new sewing machine here but lots of practice needed.plus the pics is loads clearer thanks to my new camera :D

Hmphhhhhhhhh!!

evening all.sorry no card tonight.i had every intention of making one,have got my image coloured ready but then bright spark here decided to try stitching with my sewing machine again.tension right, bobbin threaded properly.out came the scrap card to practice and then out came more and more and more and more scrap card.now i know why i gave up my gcse sewing because i can`t blooming sew in a straight line for toffee.i think my sewing machine hates me.lol.
seriously though if anyone can give me any advice on how to sew straight you will by bff.i will not be beat.lol.
right of to do some dt commenting instead,

My top 5 christmas cards for 2010.

Good morning all.the wonderful Debby has a fab competition on her blog where you have to choose your top 5 christmas cards for 2010.(hard to choose too)and she has this fab candy on offer too, how kind is that.

 so i thought why not, lets have a play :D

so in no particular order here are my top 5 for 2010.

1)i love the rich colours on this one and this was also using my deep edge doily punch,which i love and i love the marianne poinsetta.

2) i love the image on this one, anyone who knows me knows i have a weakness for whiff of joy stamps :D
i love the icy colours and this really sparkles irl.

3) i love the santa on this one and my altered snowflake and distressed edges.this one is my sons too :D

4) oh look its another whiff of joy.i have really enjoyed using the 2 christmas stamp kits this year.i love the muted colours on this one and the fab papers.

5) and finally no5.i love this card,think its probably my all time fav.i love the beautiful image and the effect the chalk gave around the image.i also love the simplicity of the layout and lush bow.

well there you go, thats my top 5.i could of picked a few more and they were whiff of joy ones too :D

good evening all.well i finally managed to find 5 mins to make a card.am not feeling too spicy again today.have started to get the bad head and aches again.still got a few more days antibiotics so hopefully they will see it off.my poor little man is poorly now too so it was off to the chemist earlier and lots of mummy cuddles today.the duvet and pillow on the sofa and some films and he seems a lot brighter.he is dosed up again now and in bed.

banished to the house.

hello all.well i haven`t gone to work today, i just could not even contemplate mustering up the energy to get there and its only up the road.i did manage to get myself to the doctors this morning with my hubbies help and have been given some antibiotics so touch wood i start to feel more like myself.
for some strange reason i seem to have a heightened sense of smell much to my hubbys amusement.i rested my head on my hubbys shoulder in the doctors and swiftly moved it, his coat smelt awful.then a poor chap sat next to me and  he smelt like a kipper (to my nose anyway).not sure why my nose has got so sensitive so am hoping that goes too soon cos even my hubbys coffee is making me feel sick.
no i`m not pregnant ;D
ooooooo and also my fab candy win from the wonderful squirrel arrived today.the candy was indeed a big surprise.i was asked to make a list of crafty products i would really like and i would be sent a selection from the list.
i felt really cheeky writing a list but am well chuffed with what popped through the post this morning.
a fanastic selection of lotv rubber just crying out to be inked up.
i cant wait to feel well enough to play.

hello all.,i hope you are keeping well.
well i went to work this morning only cos i was in at half 9 and didn`t want to phone in at short notice.well to be honest i don`t even recall how i walked there or half of my shift.
i`ve not had a cold at all, just a sore chest and throat and i feel like my body and head has been in a tumble dryer, especially my back.i`m walking half stooped as i can`t straighten up.
anyhooo again i`m sorry for being mia but am hoping i can kick this bugs butt before too long.lol

just to say a big thanks for all your lovely get well wishes.
i found out yesterday that i won squirrels surprise candy, thanks squirrel and vince for picking my name out :D ( i wish i could jump around and whoop out loud :D)
i  also wish i could tell you i feel better today but i don`t, i`ve got some new tablets to try which i`m going to take in a mo once my tea is cool enough.
its not like me to be like this, i can normally shake things off but i feel so weak and mizzy  and very frustrated.lol.

would help if i could have the flu and swine flu jabs but because they contain egg i can`t tolerate it.only had the jab once years ago and was very ill, my little man can`t have it either.
