Stampendous snowbird - 2 ways

Good morning all.Off to work for me soon.I planned on a good crafty session yesterday but it didn`t happen instead i did housework.You know when the mood hits you just have to succumb to the duster and get it done.lol
I did make 2 cards though using the Stampendous snowbird stamp.The jury is out on the 2nd version but i am happy with the 1st.
I am entering my snowbirds into the following challenges:
1.Creative Card Crew challenge - Challenge 21 - Birds
2.Top Tip Tuesday challenge - Challenge 87 - Things with wings
3.Whimsy Inspirations challenge - Challenge 52 - All things sparkly

Products used are:
White card
Dovecraft back to basics - modern papers
Stickles stardust
Do crafts sentiment
Wooden snowflake
Blue gem
White ink
Stardust Stickles
Snowtex
Stampendous snowbird cling stamp
Pro/Flexmarkers

Meet my blue belly bird.lol
Pro/Flexmarkers used are:
Light fawn,tan,cinnamon,walnut,umber
Cool aqua,duck egg,denim,glacier,cloud
 

And a sideways view.
 
Now version 2.

Products used are:
Red card
First edition papers - Christmas vintage
Icicle Stickles
Wooden snowflake
Pearl
Gold ink
Stampendous frantage embossing powder - old gold
Pink gem sentiment
Image same as above
 
mmmm not sure, tryed it on cream card too but it didin`t look right.

Oooh love the snow on the top one coops! The colours are real pretty and the colouring on the bird is amazing. I like the embossing on the second one but I thin you are right...it is not 100% working...maybe change the embossing colour? It needs just that touch more contrast. But the embossing does truly look beautiful :) Hope that helps!!! xx

I do like the embossing work on your second card. The dark background with gold embossing looks very classy, but I'll admit,the first card about blew me away. I love all the detail of color and embellishments on this one. It's a truly stunning card!!
