Summer Fair Pics.

Hello again.
Just quickly popping on to share pics of my table at the fair.
Unfortunately I only sold 5 cards in the 6 hours but never mind.i also had to remove my baskets of cards towards the end as they started to steam up so those have all got to be rebagged before they are ruined.
Thanks too for all the wonderful Birthday Wishes and stunning handmade cards I have received.
I have had lots of owl related pressies and money too so I`ve been a spoilt girl.
I am also being treated to a birthday meal on Wednesday, the day before my cholesterol blood test, oops.
Anyway here are my pics, they are a bit bright because it was so sunny.
my table, I had baskets with some ready packaged in and then some loose at the front.
I bundled up some flowers and herbs from my garden to decorate the table and they smelt lovely too.

small basket on the left had my 75p reduced cards in and then the basket on the right and the loose cards on this side are my £1.50 ones.

the middle of the table, my most expensive cards are on the right, these were £2.50

and a basket of my £2.50 ones too.

this was my bigger flower bunch in the middle.

and that's about it.I am waiting for my hubby to cook my birthday tea now followed by choccy cake and cream , yummy :D
See you tomorrow.
Hugs Nic.xx

Beautiful table Coops, full of beautiful cards and the flowers are stunning, I can smell them from here. I stopped doing Craft fayre etc because I found it heartbreaking, sometimes I wouldn't even cover the cost of my table. I charged approx what you did, and people would look and turn their noses up. Although they want great bespoke cards, they want to pay cheap eg 5 cards for a £1. Sometimes you get lucky though and have a good day. Isn't there a boutique, flower shop or salon that would sell them on your behalf? Janine x

I can't believe you didn't sell every single card. People don't realise what they've missed out on.

Your table looks lovely Coops with all your gorgeous cards spread out.
The sprigs of flowers are such a nice touch. It is a shame when we sit there for hours and only sell a few, but nice to see the people looking and the nice comments.
Hope you have a fabulous Birthday tea..

Lots of beautiful cards there Nic. Sorry you only sold 5 in 6 hours. Your cards are so pretty, it is hard to believe. We have a craft show the first weekend in December. I have thought about selling mine there, but I have heard mixed results from previous crafters. One lady did really good, but had someone steal her cash box and lost everything. YUK!

Hope your Birthday is a very special one. Enjoy your tea and chocolate cake with cream. Sounds yummy.

Hi Nic

Your table looks lovely and what a pity you only sold five, my husband thinks cards are going out, well the handmade ones, the postal of course is so high, people just can't afford it at the moment.
All the effort that goes into getting the table ready, making and bagging up the cards etc, its just disappointing when you sit for so long and have little to show for it. I know how you feel. I always say there's another day. Don't let it get you down.
Hope you enjoyed your birthday meal, hoe he remembered the candles.

Firstly HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to you!!

Secondly - ignore me asking about the selling in my comment on today's post... I'm working backwards so just saw this one!

HOW can you only have sold 5???? HOW ignorant are people that can't see a masterpiece for the low prices you are charging???

Your table looks so gorgeous.. it should have been attracting people in the hoards! Although it's a long time since I had a table selling at Craft Fairs (I used to do it when we lived on the Isle of Wight)... I still sell my cards for £3.50 each... People will happily pay that for a unique card rather than one that comes from Clintons!

Don't be disheartened hon...

Hugs

Glad you had a good birthday Nic.
Your craft table looked so beautiful with you all your gorgeous cards on display, sorry you only sold a few. I guess people just want something for nothing these days and don't appreciate the work that goes into each an every card.
Enjoy your meal on Wednesday

Happy Birthday a bit late! Now I really hope your lunch today is wonderful as I know it is your Birthday you are celebrating. I think that if you eat the food right before the test it may be ok because I know one time I had a test after lunch and ate a ton of cheesy and gooey Mexican food and it was still 1only 125. Anyway good luck!

Your table looks fabulous - love the flowers out of your garden and the fun little hearts. Your cards look so lovely - I would have purchased a ton of them if I had been there! Hugz!
