don`t panic

good evening all. i have seen a lot of blogs posting regarding google getting rid of the friends connect followers gadget.YES they are getting rid of it BUT not for us with BLOGSPOT blogs.this is only going to affect those who use non google blogs like wordpress and typepad.
i thought it was strange that google would not notify the millions of people worldwide about this so a quick search on google and it all becomes clear.
google may at a later date decide to remove the followers gadget but i am sure before that they will have another system in place to replace what we use now.

Blogger blog owners can continue to use the Followers gadget, can use Google+, or can build their communities using both features.

Good evening.a real quick clean and simple card tonight.i have been busy making my brother the valentines card he asked for.i just need to make a box now.i would normally share it but its a really personal and special card and i don`t feel right in embarrasing him.all i can say is, his girlfriend is so lucky :D
so on to my card for tonight, i decided to try a little experiment with this one and tryed stamping and colouring on to my white pearl card to see how it would look.it actually colours really well, which surprised me but its a B to photo.

what a day

Hello all.Cor blimey what a day.was up at 6 as hubby was going to work and warned me how bad it was on the pavements and roads.he was not kidding.i don`t think i have ever seen such thick ice coating everywhere.i checked the school website.no notice to say they were closed,that was half 8.little man is ready and i`m ready for work.my mum phones at quarter to 9 to say is the school open,i checks again on the website and its shut,hubby is at work too, arrgghhhhhhhh.
so i had to take my little man to my mums work, good job shes the manager.i don`t know how we got there though.me and little/big man were a like an unlikely duo for dancing on ice.
i was holding on to his hand so tight and trying not to slide myself.
ah but home in one piece now but some pavements and roads are still really icy.
i hope you are all warm and safe :D
then my brother has now asked me to make a valentines card for him,arggghhh.good job i love him.

Good afternoon all.i hope you are all well.me and little/big man have ventured out in the snow for the sunday papers and then we have built a snowman which little/big man is planning to destroy later with his dad.

1.the joy craft heart die,i got mine from my local shop.its only about £5.i have googled it and crafts u love have them in stock.
2.my scalloped edge on my cards is pre done,i buy them as ready scalloped card blac
nks.they again are from my local craft shop
3.to distress the edges of my papers/card i use the little tim holtz round distressing tool but it can be done with the edges of scissors.i just find the circle distresser easier and quicker to use.

its still in situ at the mo, we haven`t attempted to move it yet.we need to get it on some sort of board.
not sure if you can tell by the pics but the castle is huge,on its longest sides it almost half a metre long.
big man is having heaps of fun with it, battling away with his knights.

even the little drawbridge works.i have been battling too.my knights have to be the losing side though.lol.
a couple of hours well spent,next on the to build list is a knex roller coaster and ferris wheel :D

good afternoon all.have just got in from work so am sitting here with my cuppa.
now is it just me or is anyone else having problems with people they follow.
not the people themselves.lol but the fact that their posts are not showing in the dashboard/bloglist.
i feel awful about it.
sometimes i don`t realise i have missed posts and other times i get someones weeks worth of posts showing up one after the other in my blog list.

good afternoon all.well i am back from the fair and i`m happy to report that i did better this time.i`ll never be able to retire but i did better than my 1st one and i have booked for the feburary one.
i sold more cards this time and i sold 1 candle.lol and that was to my mum, thanks mum and also a big thanks to dawn (who i know visits my blog) for buying some cards too.i took some cards today that weren`t sealed in poly bags and those are the ones that people bought.i also had no prices on so people had to ask this time too and that seems to have sold them better.
right i need to go and tackle a huge ironing pile now or big man will be wearing his pj`s to school.

good afternoon all.huge apologies for being so far behind in my commenting.i have been beavering away today to try and decorate 8 candles that i bought from the sale section at work.i decorated a couple but wasn`t happy with them and then i remembered the yummy flowers i won from the talented pops and ping off went the lightbulb in my noggin.i have decorated them very simply with roses.the candles already had a spotty background.i`m just going to finish the last one off and then i need to tidy my corner cos i have made a huge mess.
i will then share a pic of the candles.am thinking of charging £3 each or 2 for a fiver.

Good evening all.i hope you are all well.its certainly feeling a lot colder tonight,so i`m togged up in my snuggly pj`s and dressing gown.little man has just gone to bed.hubby picked up his birthday pressies today.he has chosen a new tv for his bedroom and a new tv cabinet to house all his gadgets and we got him a star wars birthday cake(he tried his puppy dog eyes on me to get a slice, but its not his birthday until wednesday).he has no tv ariel in his room though as i don`t want him to have the tv on all the time but it means he can play his games and watch films in peace.

my 5 fav of 2011

Good morning all.its time to join in with the fabulous debby again, this time sharing my 5 fav cards of 2011.not sure if i can manage just 5 but we`ll see.lol.

my challenge was made a little easier this year as i don`t have the full year to look back on as my old laptop died and took all my pics with it.
so in no particular order here are my top 5(er, sorry debby buts its 8.lol) of 2011.

1.i love the soft colours on this one, i normally use stronger colours so i was pleased how this one turned out and i like the cracked glass technique oner the image.

2.i love this one, one of my all time fav sassy stamps and i love these ella blue papers and butterflies.

3.i love the colours again on this one and the distressing and shimmer paint.i also love colouring in sepia and black and white.

4.this one is a more recent make and i think you can see the difference in my colouring, i love the image and strong colours.

5.another recent one and i love the cas design and black and white colouring and of course the gorgeous saturated canary image,

6.love this baby stamp by sugar nellie and using the yummy ella blue papers and shimmer paint again.

7.this was my first card using this gorgeous image from crafts and me and is my highest commented on card this year.

and last but not least no8

i really love the acrylic paint on the edges and again the saturated canary image and black and white colouring.

morning all.i was up early this morning as i have to drop little man off for grandad before i start work at half 9 so am just having 5 mins before i have to go and stir little man from his bed.

Good evening all.no card from me tonight.i`m having a night off.my hubbys only day off today so we are gonna make the most of it.have just been watching hubby and little man test the kinect out i got my hubby for christmas, so funny.

hello all.thought i`d quickly pop on and say hi before i get myself to bed.thought i`d better go to bed earlier tonight as i`m back at work tomorrow and i do like to read in bed too.i got 5 new books for christmas so am wanting to finish the one i`m reading so i can start on one of my new ones.
i also had people asking what the pig goes pop is?? hehe, its a game little man has been asking for since he saw an advert for it about 6 months ago.basically it is a plastic pig with a latex tummy and its comes with some plastic burgers and a dice.
you roll the dice and then have to feed him with a certain coloured burger.all the burgers have numbers underneath.the number on the burger is how many times you have to press down on his head when you have fed him the burger, his belly then gradually grows until it makes his coat pop open and then its game over.
so yesterday his stomach wasn`t growing so thats why i googled it and read that one lady said she had to lay it flat and continously keep pressing down his head for it to work.
so there i was this morning still in my pj`s with a pig on my lap and i furiously pushed his head like some bad woman for about 5 mins and voila his stomach now inflates.
we have all really enjoyed playing the game today, but then again we are both big kids :D
so thats pig goes pop, a really easy game and lots of fun once ya get his belly working.

Good morning all.well i have been up since just after 6am this morning.
the first stage of the trifles are in the fridge, the custard layer to do tonight and the cream will be done just before serving.yum
i am now going to join in with the fun over on debbys blog and show you my 5 fav christmas cards of 2011.

i first joined in with debby`s fab idea last year and so really wanted to join in again.
after much debating and getting my list of 9 down to 5 eventually, here are my 5 fav christmas cards for this year,
in no particular order :D

1) this is probably one of my fav stamps this christmas and i have enjoyed colouring her hair in all unusual colours, i also love the memory box die and white on white, oh and sparkle.

2)i love the yummy papers on this one which i won from the fabulous mina and the gg image is so sweet.

3)just gotta love this fabulous santa stamp by molly bloom.hes quite a challenge to colour but i enjoyed it.this is hubby`s card

4,this one is using cheeky chester and i love the yummy papers and punches i won from the fabulous christine.
this is little mans christmas card.

5) and finally this one which is my mums and dads card,i love the beautiful poinsettas designed by ruth and the crushed glass glitter really sparkles irl.

good evening all.i hope you are all well.no card from me tonight.i am tatered.was very busy at work today and then i have been busy wrapping the last minute pressies and i went to see lizzy and dropped off her pressie and card ;D
on the way home we have been and done our food shopping, not much to get just nibbles so we`ve only just got back in.foods been put away and hubby is now making a brew and chicken sarnies.
so i`m gonna try and come and see what you`ve all been up to.
not sure if you`ll get a card out of me tomorrow either as theres my trifles to make, i have to make everyone a big one.lol.

i`d like to say thankyou for all your get well wishes.i have at least stopped sneezing today but have a very congested nose and bad head and woke up this morning with swollen glands and i feel like i`ve swallowed a cactus.lol.
ah well gotta keep going, work soon.just gonna drop little man off with grandad as he finished school yesterday and i got to work late today.
need to pick a wreath up too so i can go and take it to my nana and grandads grave tomorrow on my day off.

Good evening all.i hope you are all well.i managed to get a lot of things done today which means i just haven`t got around to making a card but i do still have my brothers birthday card from me and hubby to show yet so thats what you`re getting tonight.lol
now i think i need to explain the sentiment on the card though.its a bit of a family thing that we are really grumpy blighters in a morning, the only one who isnt is my sister.me, my mum and my bro though are well known to be avoided in a morning at least until we`ve had out 1st few brews/coffees and ciggy.lol
so taking that on board and the fact that my bro has to be at work at 5.30am every morning as he is the manager of a newsagents, i just had to use this image, hehe

at last......

good afternoon all.i hope you are all well.been busy again this morning.went out for breakfast with my friend then went and wrapped up some pressies for my mum.have been and bought some super strong glue dots to hopefully use with my very lush but very awkward wrapping paper.
just sat and printed off names etc for my familys cards and now need to nip to the post office and then hopefully i might manage to make a card later if i get my pressies wrapped.
also you might think i`m mad to get excited about what im going to tell you now but finally after 3 weeks some of the stitches from haviing my teeth removed have come out, yippee.only 1 stitch left where my wisdom was pulled and 2 left from the other tooth
thanks to a blogger who adviced me to use corsodol mouthwash, i have been using little cotton buds and applying the mouthwash to the stitched areas and my mouth is now fine :D:D
right gotta go, catch ya later ladies and gents.

Good evening all.i hope you are all well.have been busy today washing and drying and i have blasted my living room.we also put the tree up today.i don`t normally put my tree up till after my brothers birthday tomorrow but my bro let slip this morning that he had put his up so little man was chomping at the bit then.lol.
we were naughty too and both sampled one of the candy canes off the tree just to check they were ok :D

waited ages for my stickles to dry and in the end i bobbed em on top of the radiator to speed em up a litttle.i found it really hard to make them flat cards too, my fingers kept trying to get the foam pads.

evening all.well i have been to work which was very busy.i seemed to be having to tidy up my clothes aisle and ends every 5 minutes as theyclothes,slippers,underwear, you name it were just left where people dropped them.it can be quite friustrating sometimes.so i was still raring to go when i got home at 2pm.
first though me and man stopped off at the chippy for dinner then i have deep cleaned the bathroom and kitchen.
the living room to do tomorrow and upstairs will have to wait till my day off on thursday.
i then set to on my christmas cards and i have 5 drying on my little table now so will be back to share them once they have dried.
