evening all.a quickie card to share with you.not for any challenges unless someone knows one this will fit into.i have just been having a play with another new stamp.this one is by stampotique and i had to have it as its so unusual.my card hasn`t turned out as i expected though so i would love to know what you think. products used are

i have actually stamped the image again onto an old book page and coloured with promarker for her boots,hair and dress but you can`t tell :S

friends make christmas special.

good evening all.had a busy day today.went to tesco to get little mans uniform, luckily didnt need the full kit this time.got some goodies whilst we were there too and then we had a mcdonalds.my little mans choice,lol.
so onto tonights card which has been made with my birthday goodies.i am entering this one into the following 2 challenges:

what i got for my brithday :)

hello all :)
thought i`d show you some of my fab prezzies i had for my birthday, some were bought for me and some i bought myself with my birthday money.
so the first pic, no i`ve not gone mad but honestly this is the best birthday present ever, my little mans first ever visit to the seaside and he was so excited and this is him with his shoes off running to the sea.the look on his face was just priceless and if there is one moment of my holiday that i will treasure, its this one.not sure if i`ve got this right but this is the beach at burnley -on -sea near burgh island?

so these are the lush crafty goodies.

some of these were off my bezzy crafty buddy lizzy,some were bought from crafty emmas in plympton and a few bits from chaplins and buyologly also in plympton.the rest i brought when i got home yesterday from garners in newcastle under lyme:)

some more goodies.i received the beautiful fairy plaque and bookmark from my sister and she also bought me a belt and wrist band thingy :)

i bought the gorgeous resin necklace from a little jewellers in plymouth where i also got my lush goodies.i love lush products and i don`t treat myself often enough as i have to travel to the shop near us.

i have also been treated today to 2 new books, a karin slaughter one and another james patterson one plus a fab slouchy jumper from my hubby for our anniversary.i`ve also had chocolates and 2 other necklaces and perfume.i`ve been really spoilt.

the best pressie though was seeing my family.my sister and aunty and there families both live in devon and cornwall now and its the 1st time we`ve been down to see them.

although the gifts are gorgeous and will be well used and very appreciated :), the time spent with my family and my little mans excitement at the beach are the ones that really make me humble and grateful for all i have :) and give me that warm fuzzy feeling.lol.

I`m back.xx

good afternoon all.well i am back from my hols.we got back about 11am this morning after a 4 and a half hour drive.
oh my word the motorway was ok apart from my mum had to report one driver to the police as he was swerving and drifting across all 3 lanes of the m5.he cut in front of our car but we managed to brake then he did the same to my mums car and then he drifted across to the central reservation and hit it and scraped all up the side for a few metres before drifting back across and cutting in front of a lorry.i hope the police managed to track him down.
i managed to get a few crafting goodies whilst we were away including a nice new bigger craft mat but am now on my way out to buy some more with my birthday money :)

i managed to nick my sisters laptop a couple of times to check my posts were publishing.
anyhoo better go spend my money before it burns a hole in my pocket.

black and white tutorial.

good morning all.today i thought i would share with you how i do my black and white colouring.
the promarkers i have used are black,cool grey 5,4,3,2,1 and baby pink.
i have stamped the image in memento ink onto tesco executive a4 presentation white card 160gsm.
this is the card i have been using lately and also i have been using a new way of colouring by putting down the darkest shades first.

so lets get on :)

1.1st off i am doing the skin on mummy and baby.i have started with COOL GREY 2 where i want my darker areas.
2.now i am going over the cool grey 2 with COOL GREY 1 and blend it in by starting at your darker area and gently drag your paler shade in towards the centre.

3.now for mums hair.i am starting with BLACK for the darkest area.

4.now i am going over the black and into more of the white with COOL GREY 5 still leaving some white where you want the light to be.

5.now all over the black and cool grey 5 with COOL GREY 4. you may have to do this several times so you really blend and tone the black down so it doesn`t look too harsh.it all depends on your card stock.
6.now onto babys hair starting with COOL GREY 3.

7.then over the cool grey 3 with COOL GREY 2 again leaving a little white.

8.finally to finish babys hair i have used COOL GREY 1.

9.onto mums dress, i have started with BLACK.

10.then over the black with COOL GREY 5 again leaving some white for your lighter areas.

11.all over the black and cool grey 5 with COOL GREY 4, again keep blending until you are happy and the black doesn`t look too harsh.

12.now babys outfit.i wanted this to look quite white so i have started with a little COOL GREY 2.

13.followed by a little COOL GREY 1.i have left some areas white on this one on purpose (honestly )

14.finally i have added a tiny touch of BABY PINK to the cheeks of mummy and baby.

and there you go, all done.

apologies for some blurry pics but i wasn`t feeling too chipper when i did this so hopefully this tutorial has been of some help.

this is a piccy of my little man.i love it.hes only a couple of months old on this picture and he had a few health problems when he was a baby.you can`t tell on the piccy but he has a harness on under his clothes as he had a shallow hip and had to wear the harness from 6 weeks old until he was 8 months old and could only be bathed at hospital once a week when they replaced the harness with a new one.
i love this pic because with all he went through, he was always such a happy little boy and i love the look of wonder on his face,ahhhhhh.

and this one is me.

i am 3 or 4 on this piccy and i love it because its the one my late nan and grandad had on their living room wall.

check out those 70`s clothes.

its a bit damaged now after all the years but it still brings back so many memories.

our special day.

good morning all.another scheduled post.
today is our wedding anniversary.we have been married 9 years today so i thought instead of a card i would share some piccys of our special day :D
i have taken piccys from photos so they aren`t too clear.i`ve started the photo journey from the start of the day to the end :)

so this is just before i set off.my hair and makeup done and i look so nervous.we had already been together 12 years but it didn`t stop the nerves.

oh and my lovely curls in my hair, well theres a story.i had bendy rollers in my hair the morning before, 2 bottles of setting lotion and i had to sleep in them but i so wanted curls just for 1 day as my hair is soooooooo straight.

when my brother gave me away we had the shania twain song "you`re still the one"lol.we met when i was only 14 and my hubby was 19 so we proved everyone wrong.lol.
the song we had when we were signing the book was another shania twain one "from this moment".it made my mother in law cry.we lost my father in law the previous year and i bought my wedding ring with the last money he gave me the christmas before,so he was there with us on our special day.

oh dear,too late.
we`ve done it now, no going back.this picture is actually the wrong way round.i`m actually on the other side but when it was developed they had done it wrong but we kept it anyway :)

so here we are outside and i had a shock as some work colleagues of mine at the time had got time off from work to come and take a piccy.this is one of their photos :)

now these next 3 are my fav piccys.they were taken at our daytime do and were in the love seat.lol

i love how they are natural, no posing.just me and other half at ease.

mmmmmm someone told my hubby a dirty joke, hehehe

and just look at me looking all coy,i think not.

i have had to crop of the dropped beermat on the floor.lol

for our first dance we had an aerosmith song "i don`t want to miss a thing"

we also had our wedding videoed and also the night do but on our first dance when everyone had gone quiet and was watching us attempt to dance,lol.my hubbys couisins other half who was doing the filming can be heard quite loudly singing along to the song.

good morning.another scheduled post so i hope its working :)
hopefully we are having a fab time in devon and its also my wedding anniversary and birthday this week so am hoping to find some craft shops whilst i am away :)
so todays card is another clean and simple one and not a promarker in site.
i have used the papermania chatsworth stamp set for this one.i have handstamped the backing paper with a stamp from the set with memento ink in cocoa.mounted onto brown card and all edges distressed.the lamp and sentiment also from the set.i have added some lush brown velvet ribbon and a rose and voila.simples.

the image,oh and i punched the edge with my ms doily punch.

good morning all.well i hope this has published as this is a scheduled post.hopefully i am well on my way down the motorway by now.we are going on a short break to devon.our first holiday in 15 years and little mans first ever.so a long journey ahead.the cat is in the cattery so i hope he will forgive us when we get back.
so why i am away i thought i would share some quick amd simple cards with you but normal service will resume as soon as i get back.
so i have used distress inks in wild honey,dried marigold,spiced marmalade and mustard seed.i have used a free stamp from craft stamper mag and randomly dabbed the inks over them.i masked of the card to create the border which has been stamped with some little background stamps in black ink.the flowers were mounted onto black card and the middle one raised with 3d pads.i have added papermania pearls to the centres and an hero arts sentiment.

good morning all.well will be busy today.last minute checking to be done and poor little puss cat needs to be taken to the cattery.

we will be setting off very early tomorrow so this is goodbye from me.

who needs fillers.

morning all.just a quickie before i jump in the bath and then off to work until 2pm.
well i feel a little better today but my chest is still really rough and hey who needs lip fillers??
i tell you what instead of going and having your lips plumped up just get a cold and then maybe your top lip will erupt in coldsores, there you go, skinny lips problem solved.
honestly does my body not know i am going on holiday plus its my wedding anniversary next week too.
sorry mr coops there`ll be no kiss for you, hehehehhehehe.
so yesterday i managed to clean my bathroom and mr coops did upstairs.
he has been asked (instructed!!) to do the living room why i`m at work today.
the suitcase is done, the cat is still oblivious to where he is heading but am sure he will love it.
so i hope you are all missing me.
i have also managed to schedule 5 days of posts.
a couple of very simple cards, a photo gallery,an award giveaway and to finish....another promarker tutorial so i hope you`ll like them.

morning all.just to let you know that i am still here and that my blog has turned up again :)
i was so worried that someone had said my blog contained spam cos i`d been telling you all i was ill so that is why those posts are missing.
cor i didn`t half have a major panic moment.anyway it seems it was my blog counter that was to blame so thats why its not longer at the top.
big thanks to pickle from dc for all her help.
so its friday,my day off work.i have to go in tomorrow then its holiday time on monday.
i have so much to do yet, like finish the suitcase and everywhere needs a good spruce up before i leave.
i really don`t feel like doing it though :(
today i am still wheezing although my chest is a little less tight i can`t do much before i get out of breath.
also don`t know if any of you have asthma but i feel like i`ve been kicked in the back and chest, its feels really sore.
on a good note though i did manage to keep the antibiotic down last night so should be ok with the rest of the course.
they don`t half give you heartburn though and stomach ache but hey oh i gotta take them.
anyway i have scheduled some posts for when i am on holiday but not enough for all the week.lol
i don`t think i`ll get time now to make any cards.
so i will wish you all well and i will be back to blogging when i get back.
