mothers day project.xx

good evening all.first off i need to apologise for not visiting any of your blogs over the last couple of days but when i`ve not been at work or doing my mum/wife duties i have been making my mums and mils cards and this project
lets just say i have stressed myself silly but i got there in the end.also apologies for a few blurry pics, my phone needs charging.

and here is the cause of my stress.i bought a cheap plastic photo frame, piccy of the original frame further down.i originally tryed to paint it with acrylic paint so i could use my distress inks but it was a total disaster so a quick dash to the diy store and a can of plasti coat later and i tryed products used are cheap plastic frame.the original sticker removed.2 coats of white matt plasti coat and then 2 coats of cream.a mixture of glossy glue and cosmic shimmer powder.whilst still wet i sprinkled more cosmic shimmer powder over the frame and then i used a scrunched up piece of bubble wrap and dabbed all over.a papermania build a butterfly and a few buttons later and voila.

the buttons

the butterfly

and lying down.pity the shimmer doesn`t show up in the pics.

and how it started off.
well i hope you will all forgive me for being absent and i hope you all think it was worth so much for popping by and i promise to be back to commenting soon.luv coops.xx

Hi Coops
Great minds think alike, I've been altering a Papermania photo frame! So far I've just slapped a coat of metallic Distress Cracked paint on it and waiting for it to dry! But yours looks fab, well done you've put alot of work into it. Oh and you made me go out and buy that butterfly stamp yesterday! It looks great on your frame too.
Take care.
