jacks room door plaque.xx

good evening all, well this has been my main project today.i bought this wooden plaque (pic at the bottom of this post) for 10p from a charity shop a few weeks ago and i have picked it up several times during that time but always put it back down.lol.so when i saw this weeks crafts and me challenge i knew i just had to pull my finger out and do something.as my little man was so upset this morning i thought i`d make him a little cheer up present.so i am entering this into this weeks crafts and me challenge=anything but a card.

so what did i do.first i gave the front and edges of the plaque a rough coat of acrylic paint.loads of time later after it had dried i used the plaque as a template to cut some white card.i then used distress inks tumbled glass and broken china to create the sea.i have used a creative expressions stamp set called sealife to create the rest.i stamped and coloured all the images with promarkers, some have been stuck down flat and other raised with 3d pads.i have then added a few gems to the treasure chest and coated all of it apart from the sea in a thin coat of glossy accents so they look wet.lol.

promarker colours used are:
CORAL=lime green,forest green,apricot,sandstone,cool grey 1,2,4,gold,pumpkin,orange,cerise,mulberry.
CHEST=cinnamon,cocoa,walnut,shale,gold,pumpkin,orange.
OCTAPUS=lilac,amethyst,slate.
CRAB=red,ruby,cardinal red,burgandy.
TURTLE=cocoa,henna,shale,apple,grass.
cor thats some colours and i only just fit it all on my post it note.lol.

a piccy so you can see the raised bits.

a sideways.

and how it started life and what a bargain at 10p.
thanks so much for popping by.i have got work in the morning then straight onto a kids birthday party with my little lad for 3 hours!!!!.out for lunch on sunday so hopefully in between all that i will manage to make some more creations.lol.enjoy the rest of your evening.i`m watching ,my dvd of true blood again and have read my first 2 books so went and bought the next 2 yesterday and am now on book 3.don`t know if any of you have read it but the books are very different to the tv series.lol.better stop waffling.ttfn.luv coops.xx
