playing with distress inks.xx

good evening all, i hope you are all well today.i am feeling lots better.tonight i have been having a little play with my distress inks and i have a couple of cards to share with you.quite a few piccys so you might want to get comfy and grab ya drink of choice.lol.

card no1 is another male card.i bought these personal impressions stamps a couple of weeks ago in the hope it would encourage me to make some male cards so decided to ink them up.i have used gloss white card.i then dabbed vintage photo, antique linen, rusty hinge and frayed burlap distress inks onto a mat.i then spritzed with water and laid my card on top.i then used a policeman stamp from the set and stamped him randomly over the backing paper and spritzed with water again.i used my heatgun to dry it quick.ripped it a little and sponged more vintage photo ink, mounted onto rust and burgandy/brown card.the topper i made my randomly dropping my ink pads on the gloss card and then i wet it and sponged over some more vintage photo and some broken china.i then stamped the bus in frayed burlap.sign wording done the same.a couple of buttons and twine.

close up of the bus, using the gloss card the clours seem to come out more muted.

the sign.

and a sideways view, not too sure what i think of this one.lol.

card no2.i have done the background the same as no1 but using just shabby shutters and broken china ink.i then stamped over the top with a cracked effect stamp in the distress inks and a little black archival ink.mounted onto brown corrugated card.fab ribbon i won from kath and a rose centre.my hero arts stamp again with the backing sponged with the inks.sentiment to finish.

the sentiment.

the yummy ribbon (thanks kath) and also more detail of the backing.

and a sideways view.,.well i hope you managed to get to the end and if you now have the energy to leave a comment, that would be great.lol.i hope you enjoy your bank holiday weekend.am not in work till tuesday now so i plan on making some more samples for my local craft shop and i have ordered some of the new whiff of joy stamps from there and its payday soon so am literally jumping to get my hands on them.luv coops.xx
