eeeekk just booked a table

for a craft fair next sunday.
a lady i used to work with asked me if i wanted a table for a local craft fair next week.only £3.50 for the table so not much to lose is it and if it helps to shift my 3 huge boxes of cards then thats all good.am going to charge £1.50 a card, 4 for £5 or 10 for £10.i know it sounds cheap but i sell them now for £1,50 and really struggle to sell any hence the massive backlog of cards.i must have over 200 cards stocked up now so i am going to have to really try the big sell next sunday.
obviously not got any time to make anything different this time but the ladies who have arranged next week are hoping to make it a monthly thing.
right off for a bit of bloghopping and then try and create something.

catch ya soon
luv coops xxx

Oh wow Coops good luck..... That does sound very cheap for your cards but I know what you mean - I price mine at £2 however do have some in the local pub and hubby made me put my prices up to £2.50 and they have stopped selling - hence they are going back down to £2....

Hi Coops, Please don't sell them so cheap! We all know what goes into making our cards and yours are so lovely and certainly worth more than £1.50. If you are at a Craft fair, people are there to buy crafty things...why not try £2 each and three for £5? I'm sure people woudln't flinch and you woudl still be cheaper than Clinton!Just think what Sir Alan Sugar would do! Best of luck, Teresa xx

fabulous! hope it goes well, I think your price sounds about right for a craft fair, people don't want to pay much, they generally don't realize the work that goes into them!

Have a great weekend, Debxx

Hi nic.. Personally I think that's far too cheap! Your cards are stunning and worth far more... And there's a psychology to selling.. Which is why if you say something is worth a lot, people believe it! Think paintings! And it's true in any case about your cards! I sell mine for £3 or £3.50 each.. Especially if it's personalised! good luck.. Am sure you'll do really well!

I hope you get on okay Nic. I have tried several craft fairs and they have been a wash out. No one ants to pay for all your hard work. Hopefully you will do better

Your cards are lovely, don't sell them too cheap! Also my sister saw a lady at a craft fair selling the KIT to make the example card, for only 25p less than the finished one, as a 'special offer for a crafty christmas present' might be worth bagging up some pre cut supplies, printing out a sketch, digi image (check for angel policy) & instructions, put the lot in a cello bag, see if it works at your fair? If they don't sell you can always make them into cards LOL
I get the little Clair kit every month and absolutly love doing the card.....
Good Luck, Donna :-)

Hi Coops, Good luck with the craft fair! I'm sure you will do well because your cards are lovely but I personally don't think you are charging enough. However, I guess you are likely to sell more if you keep the prices down and that means a few more pennies for you. Sadly they don't make money sitting in boxes do they! I had one booked for next Saturday but have just cancelled my table because I don't have enough cards made and haven't felt well enough to 'speed craft' the last couple of weeks.

Hi Nic, just catching up - best of luck with the fair. I also think that's too cheep for your cards, but also know that it's darn hard at the mo trying to sell 'em. I only sell to one or two particular friends and very cheaply at that. Luckily I'm in the hobby because I enjoy it, otherwise I'd have to give up! Sarah
