i don`t think i wil be hiding the promarkers any time soon but i do like to play now and then.
i am entering my card into the following challenges:

and inkylicious sentiment from the sentiment 1 set - all from crafty urchins :D
distress inks - fired brick.black soot.forest moss,tumbled glass and broken china

This is beautiful, I love your colouring with the inks and the colours you have used.....
I used my $50 win on Simon Says Stamp to put towards the DI pens, and I cant wait to try them.
I know I will still use my PM's, but like you say, its nice to play with different stuff and get different effects. This is a gorgeous card hun, great image and colours and the glossy accents really pop :)

It's good to have an experiment Nic, I find I surprise myself with the results at times when I'm just having a play. Your colouring looks mighty fine to me,and your design is gorgeous. Well done with not sticking your finger in the opaque bit cos I'm sure I would have lol! x

It's always fun to branch out... just be careful of stepping out on Squirrel's limb too far. Squirrels can get territorial. hahaha Beautiful inking!=)
