rose creation at last

Good evening.well i am ready late.i`ve washed my hands four times and i still can`t shift the pva and glossy accents.lol.
these roses look so beautiful when other people make them and despite looking at many well explained tutorials i just can not get them how i want them,
so heres the longest drawn out card ever,
no challenges, just for fun.

products used are:
white card
circle nestie
spellbinders create a rose
spellbinders embossing folder
gems from stash
make it crafty chippie swirl
white acrylic paint
stickles stardust
glossy accnets
pva glue
brads
distress inks spun sugar and tumbled glass
personal impressions sentiment

so i tried to stick them together with pva, dismantled and tryed with glossy accents, dismantled again and put a brad in the middle, hence very gummed up finger ends.
used tweezers to crimp and twist and curl and uncurl and all over again.
surprised they are still holding together to be honest.lol.

and a sideways view,
now after all that stress of making this i need to watch bedidorm for a good laugh.
work tomorrow and then a full week off. yyippeeee ;D
thanks for reading and popping by, means a lot.
luv coops xxx

Your roses are lovely chic! The card is so pretty too. Maybe a hot glue gun would help with the roses, I use one for all my "difficult sticking problems including flowers" just be careful you don't replace the sticky fingers with burnt ones lol - have a great Easter sweetie xxcaraxx

Hi ya Nic - well I think this is just beautiful! Gorgeous colours and love your flowers.

I've got one of those dies - used it once or twice and gave up. I can't get it to look like a proper rose at all - it just looks like what it is, rolled up paper! Nothing at all like yours, which are gorgeous!!

Hope you have a nice week off.

Wow, what a elegant card Nic. It's lovely. I think your roses look perfect.
I do know how frustrating it is when making your own flowers, we are far too critical.

I am also watching Benidorm Lol, think it's the last one tonight !

Hi Coops, so sorry Ive been MIA lately but all is explained in my blog! Major Spring Cleanathon which seems to be going on forever and stick isn't finished! lol. I think your roses are really beautiful. Did you see my video on how to make the Peace Rose similar to your flowers? My only advice for keeping them together is hot glue. It really is the only way that Ive found they hold their shape pretty much immediately unless you are patient enough to use the other glues and use paper clips the hold the bud together....me? Im not so patient so hot glue it is, lol. You just need to be careful you dont burn yourself but my fingers are pretty hardy now to the hot glue.....theyve been burned so much that Im used to it now! Also the hot glue hardens when cold which actually gives the flowers great stability also. But considering all the glue you had to wash off your hands, I think your flowers are beautiful. Stunning card. Lee xx

Oh my goodness! These are beautiful! Your flowers look amazing, and they are offset by a perfect background too

I love making my own blooms, but would not attempt it without 2 things:

1. Brads if they are flower dies with holes in the middle.

2. Glue gun - instant, strong and easy to apply. You only have to hold in place for about 3 seconds and its done. Cheapest glue guns about £5 and glue sticks about 1.50 a pack - changed the way I make my boxes too ;)

HTH
