Tick, tick, tick...................

Good morning all.
I hope you are all well.
I am in work again tonight, i was in last night too.The Thursday night is an extra shift that i will be doing for a bit.Eventually i will go back to my original hours but it will not be yet.
So with that i have come to realise that my crafting will not be as regular as it was because family life must come first.
I hope on my days off to get a few creations made in one go so that my blog is not too barren.lol
For today i do not have a card but instead a little insight in to me and what makes me TICK.
First off family means everything, enough said there really.:D
I love natural organic skincare and body products.
At the minute i am having great results using the Dr Organics range of hair.body and skin products.
For special treats it has to be Lush, choc full of the most delicious smells and my laddo is now a Lush lover too.
I also enjoy some Bodshop products, i am currrently using their Drops of youth range for skin and eyes as well as the seaweed moisturiser to help mattify my skin. The Camomile Eye makeup remover is the first remover i have been able to use around my sensitive eyes and i love the Camomile oil and butter cleansers, again it is not irritating my skin so smiles from me.
I love the countryside and walking.Autumn is my fav season, i love the crisp air,the rich colours and crunchy leaves.Nothing better that skinny jeans, a chunky jumper and boots :D
I love reading, i mean really love reading.Ever since i was a child i have had my head in a book.
I suffered very badly with hayfever when i was younger, thankfully not as severe now so my days were spent indoors reading or drawing or colouring.
I read thrillers & crime ones mainly and spooky too.My fav all time author is James Patterson, his books are so easy to read and the pages just keep on turning.I do like others though like Karen Rose, Karin Slaughter, as well as many, many more.
With my hubby working lots of night shifts, i just love getting all comfy and warm in bed and reading in to the early hours.
I also have an obsession with Harry Potter, i have read  all the books, watched all the films.I own Tshirts, sweatshirts etc and now i have this fabulous Scribbelicious pendant containing a Harry Potter quote.
I have been lusting after one of these for a long time and i was lucky to receive one for my 40th birthday a few weeks ago.Now i want a bracelet to match but they are far too big for my tiny wrist so i am hoping to get a childs sized one.

Fab isn`t it,these are all made from actual book pages from reclaimed books that would otherwise be pulped.
I also have a love of anything owl!!!
I am still waiting for my owl watch to arrive but i spotted this owl ring in a local shop, the same place that the Scribbelicious pendant came from, they have so many little treasures from lots of small companies, love it.

This ring is fab and its adjustable which means it fits my little fingers ;D

And here they are both together and that lilac background is the back of my squishy owl cushion.
I am also sitting here in my owl pj`s drinking a cuppa out of my owl mug so you could say i am a little obsessed.lol.
Well that was a little bit of a ramble wasn`t it.
Oh thats another thing about me, i am really shy if i met you in person but once i know someone i can talk and talk and talk, hehe.
A huge pat on the back if you read it all :D
Catch you tomorrow with a crafty make.
Lotsa Hugs
Nic.
xx

Harr Potter nut here haha, my fiancé proposed to me in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, with a Snitch locket that opened up to say "will you marry me?" inside *cries* so amazing :) i also have a quote necklace like this one, but it says "it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" - I just got the 4 house t-shirts from Primark as well - great quality and shape - get in there! Going back to WWHP in December, counting down the days. And yes, I'm packing my Ravenclaw robes. Hahaha.

Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself Nic. Love the quote on your lovely pendant and the ring looks amazing. Have you read either of the MJ Aldridge books? Eeny Meeny and Pop goes the Weasel, I highly recommend them if you like a thriller xx

Hey, Nic! I am a firm believer that family life should come before crafting and blogging - we all need to take time sometimes , even though we may beat ourselves up about it! I have often wondered how you fit everything in, with work, a family , house and still managing to blog every day! I used to get so worried about making stuff for my blog, but now I post when I can or have something to share. We'll all still come and visit however often you post, as you are such a good blogging buddy who takes the time to comment on so many people's work!
Thanks for the little insight into what you like and just remember...don't work TOO hard! Hugs, Lisa x

I love, love, love to read and I'm a big JK Rowling fan too, Nic. I haven't seen these pendants before - it's really sweet - but this week I have travelled from Platform 9 3/4 on the Hogwarts Express, visited Hogsmeade, drank Butterbeer and narrowly escaped from He who cannot be named in the vaults of Gringott's Bank! Just sayin! Thank you for being such a great blogger! I'm sorry I'm so bad at it. Hugs, Lesley

What a gorgeous insight into 'you' Nic. Thanks for sharing that hunny, was really lovely to read. LOVE your Harry Potter pendant. We are Potter fans too and were chuffed to bits to have managed to get to Platform 9 3/4 in London before we left there and to the Potter display at the Millenium Dome too. Didn't think Georgie was old enough for the Main Harry Potter World adventure, but SO regret that now! New Zealand is a long way away and it'll be years before we'll ever get there now! Glad you enjoyed your birthday celebrations. Happy belated birthday hunny. Hugs, Wends x

I got to the end Nic with no pats required. It's really lovely to read so much about you and thanks for sharing with your blogging buddies. We have a lot of things in common, not least the talking, so we'd natter for England no doubt. Hope your workload eases up soon and you get your crafting time back. xx
